Alicia Embley Turner concentrates her practice in three primary areas. She assists creditors, including banks, with collection activities, including in bankruptcy proceedings. Alicia practices heavily in the area of administrative law where she represents professional licensing boards as well as other state and local agencies and commissions. Alicia also handles business and commercial transactions and contracts and assists with the formation of corporate entities.
Alicia was born in Jerseyville, Illinois, in 1973. She was a Rotary Youth Exchange student to Liege, Belgium, in 1991 and studied in Paris, France for one year while attending the University of Illinois – Urbana/Champaign. Alicia graduated magna cum laude from University of Illinois, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French. In 1999, she received her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Law. While in law school, Alicia served as a Note and Comment Editor of the Missouri Law Review and President of the International Law Society. After graduating, she worked for an international law firm in Paris, France. Alicia joined Newman, Comley & Ruth in 2000.
Alicia is a member of the Jefferson City West Rotary Club and serves on the Rotary District 6080 Youth Exchange Committee. She resides in Jefferson City, Missouri with her husband, Matt, and two children.
